Single-phase grounding is the most common fault occurring in generator operation.When an arc grounding occurs at the fault point,it can further damage the stator winding insulation and even cause core burning or sintering.If not detected and quickly isolated,the fault may develop into phase-to-phase or interturn short circuits.For these reasons,the international practice widely adopts high-resistance grounding at the generator neutral point to limit ground fault current and prevent various overvoltage hazards,achieving excellent operational experience.
