ENR-FGB Composite Overvoltage Protector
I.Overview
The ENR-FGB composite overvoltage protector(referred to as ENR-FGB)is a product developed by our company to address the protection weaknesses of various existing overvoltage protectors.It is specifically designed for medium-voltage power grids of 35KV and below.Not only can it protect against current chopping overvoltages,multiple reignition overvoltages,and three-phase simultaneous interruption overvoltages,but it also safeguards against lightning overvoltages.Therefore,it possesses a series of advantages unmatched by other types of overvoltage protectors.
This product represents the most comprehensive and protective overvoltage protector currently available.Aligned with national industrial policies and trends in oil-free,compact,energy-saving,and environmentally friendly electrical products,it offers significant technical-economic benefits and broad social impact.It is urgently needed for China's power infrastructure development,particularly in urban and rural grid upgrades.
The ENR-FGB combines zinc oxide varistors with resistive-capacitive components,integrating the advantages of both ZnO surge arresters and RC absorbers while overcoming their inherent limitations.It not only provides lightning protection but also effectively suppresses the amplitude and steepness of operational overvoltages—a dual-function solution achieving perfection.

III.Operating Conditions
1.Indoor type;
2.Ambient temperature:not lower than-20°C,not higher than+55°C;
3.The altitude should not exceed 4000m;custom solutions can be provided for altitudes beyond 4000m based on actual conditions.
4.Relative humidity:not exceeding 95%(at 25°C);
5.Grid frequency:58~62Hz(for 60Hz systems),48~52Hz(for 50Hz systems);
6.The installation site's air must not contain chemically corrosive gases,vapors,or explosive dust;
7.The minimum nominal creepage distance of the outer jacket should be no less than 20mm/kV,suitable for use in moderately polluted environments.
IV.Usage Notes
1.This product is connected between vacuum electrical equipment(such as vacuum circuit breakers,vacuum contactors,etc.)and inductive loads(such as motors,generators,reactors,transformers,etc.),as shown in Figure 2-2;
2.This product is divided into Type Z(suitable for protecting motors and generators)and Type P(suitable for protecting transformers,reactors,and power lines).Customers should order and install the appropriate product based on the protected object.
3.This product can be equipped with a discharge recorder as an optional feature.Customers may choose the product marked with"F"if needed.
4.The automatic disengagement device is a standard component of this product and is considered a consumable.Customers should determine the quantity of spare parts based on actual conditions to ensure normal operation.
